After I have it out of my head, then I can fix. I haven’t started the query process yet. I feel the need to have the very last word on the last book written before that. I’m working on that last book in the trilogy now. My word count is slightly higher than yours, but I’m writing fantasy so maybe I can slip by. There will be another hardcore editing session on the first two books before any query begins as well. I know of friends that have spent almost as much time on their query letter as their book.
