UFO's? Where? |
|
Hey! Where's my present? |
Slick used to spend the week with me when my son had to work down in San Diego, that is when my son lived up here. After they moved to San Diego, Slick got out of the yard and was struck by a car on a busy highway. He was a good dog who was very talented and observant. He could unlock and open the sliding glass door at my son's. My son would wake up at 2 a.m. and the door would be open and Slick would be outside. Here at my house he'd watch us open the doors and realized he could do it too. Luckily he didn't know how to unlock the doors here. My son always told him there were UFO's, I know weird, but Slick was always watching for them. I was sitting on the porch right by the front door one night and Slick was sitting at the end of the porch and a plane, flying low, and coming towards my house, (The airport is about 11 miles to the southwest of me) I said out loud, "What's he doing?" and Slick looked up (Smart Dog) and seen that plane, glanced over his shoulder at me and started walking backwards, all the while keeping an eye on that (In his mind) UFO and sat down on my lap. Big chicken! :-) He was an awesome dog and will always be missed.
